5 Looks with 10 Items: Big Bazaar Sabse Saste 6 Din!
So, this is about giving you some examples of how to mix and match items from your wardrobe to never go through the feeling that you’re wardrobe-broke. What I’ve done here is pick 10 items, from simple to trendy ones, and created outfits for an everyday ramp walk down the roads of the city, the aisles of the supermarket and the stairs of the mall!
10 ITEMS I CHOSE AT THE BIG BAZAAR SABSE SASTE 6 DIN SALE
Let’s begin with the 10 items I picked at the Big Bazaar Sabse Saste Sale. These include tops, dresses, pants, and jackets. Take a look!
1. Light Blue Denim Kurta
Almost white in colour, this item itself is an example of Indo-western fusion: it’s a KURTA made of denim! You can throw it on a pair of dark denim pants or stirrup pants, for a quick and casual outfit. Tuck it in to convert it to a top. add a scarf or shrug. It’s an extremely versatile addition to the wardrobe, and one of my favourite items on this list!
2. Floral Print White Shirt
Flowers are in this season. They have been rocking the runway, with the big players in the business using flowers in different forms and patterns. Combine them with the evergreen beauty of a white shirt, and you have a sublime piece in your hand. From running to the grocery store to enjoying a coffee date, this sheer shirt adds oomph to any look!
3. Black Top with Ruffled Lace Sleeves
Black is beautiful and adaptable. It’s timeless, and everyone’s favourite. And a black top goes with everything! This beut I picked up from the shelf of FBB might seem simple, but trust me, it’s a must-have, for obvious reasons. What makes it trendy is its pair of sleeves. It’s lacy, and creates ruffles, both of which are going to be fashionable in 2017!
4. Shirt Dress
Shirt dresses are among my absolute favourites from 2016, and I know they are going big this year, too! They are such a multi-taster! If you want to go fuss-free, wear it as it is, with a pair of boots and/or a jacket or scarf. If you want are like me, wear it will pants and try your hand at the quirky new trend of teaming a dress with a pair of pants!
5. Floral Print Pants
As I said before, go floral this season without any hesitation. I promise you, it will stay in trend for the rest of 2017. And, when it’s on bottoms, I just have to own that pair. The floral bottoms at FBB are just so pretty, I could cry! It can add an instant touch of what’s considered as cute and feminine. Just pick this unique, adorable piece, already!
6. Pink Lace Palazzo
I don’t care what the shopping app ads say: palazzos are not yesterday, palazzos are here to stay. And, this pair of pink lace palazzo is another clothing item at FBB that brings together two crazes from the fashion predictions of 2017 – laces and pink. The sheer quality of the lace makes it sensuous, while the baby pink heightens the cuteness factor!
7. Black Lace Palazzo
This is the black version of the one palazzo mentioned above. These palazzos have been available in different colours at FBB this season. I chose black – do I need to even explain why? It has a lining beneath the lace, so you don’t have to reveal more than you want to. The material is flowy and gentle; it sits on the curves and corrects the silhouette.
8. Blue Washed-Out Jeans
Classic, blue denim pants. A must-have for every woman. They go with everything, from a long kurta to a crop top, from dress to saree, as I found out while trying to create various jeans outfits with a single pair! And, they are comfortable. Everyone must own a pair, because street style is trendy and easy, and it survives on its ruggedness.
9. Biker Jacket
I know this is not everyone’s cup of tea, but, c’mon, even Jodie Sweetin wore it at The People’s Choice Awards! I love androgynous looks, and biker jackets immediately add a tough, intimidating, athletic quality to the demeanour. Wear it with jeans or a floral dress, with boots or pumps – a black biker jacket is something you won’t regret owning!
10. Ethnic Print Summer Jacket
This another FBB special item this season – a summer jacket covered with beautiful Indian motifs, i.e. paisleys and all. This jacket is a great accessory for those who love fusion wear. Wear it with both Indian, as well as western outfits. The one that I absolutely loved had a black base, covered with earthy hues like terracotta and butterscotch.
MY 5 LOOKS WITH 10 ITEMS
Ok, so we’re finally at the segment that you were waiting for. Take a look at how I have put together the items mentioned above, and mixed and matched them for fun, beautiful outfits. my 5 looks with 10 items, people!
The white floral shirt on top of the black lace palazzo might sound simple, but once you put it on, it turns gorgeous. All the sheer allows a light outline of the curves. You can also use the shirt like a shrug, on top of the black top!
In this one, I have gone for the biker chick look, with the black biker jacket on top of the denim kurta which I have turned into a top. The floral bottoms complete the look with a touch of femininity, but you can try it with jeans, too!
I love to team shirt dresses wth jeans, and that’s what I have done here – a simple look, yet stylish look, and fashionably bold. You can wear it with a black top, too, leaving the front open, or add a layer of shrug/jacket on top.
While just a simple top with ruffled sleeves on top of the pink lace palazzo will make for an attractive outfit, I added the summer jacket with ethnic pattern, simply for the burst of motifs and break the monotony of the flat colours.
Yet another simple look with just two items – the floral shirt and the jeans. It’s fast but smart, and you can always jazz it up with the biker jacket or summer jacket. Or, using the shirt as a shrug on top of the black top always works!
I can say that this is one of the most fun things I’ve done recently. And, now you have an idea of how to mix and match the items in your wardrobe and on the shelves of FBB to create some amazing looks. See how I managed to achieve 5 looks with 10 item! Yes, 5 incredible outfits from just 10 simple but amazing products that were available at FBB at amazing discounts of up to 70%! And the best thing is, be it a shopping errand, or a movie date, these looks work perfectly. You can do it, too; the key is to be adventurous, and never be afraid to mix and match, be it in terms of styles, or patterns. Fuse ethnic with western, formals with casuals, plains with patterns, and be yourself!
