Cafe Studio in Salt Lake – A Cosy Place to Hang Out and Dine, Undisturbed.

In this city of constant uproar on the streets and infinite chaos in the head, we need some place to rest and calm down. Most of the times, it’s hard to find such a place. Restaurants have loud music, and mall courts have loud children. So, every time there’s a nice, quiet restaurant or cafe in town, I get really happy. I recently visited one such place – Cafe Studio in Salt Lake – and I had a lovely experience there.

Ambience at Cafe Studio

Cafe Studio in Salt Lake is located in an easy-to-access area of Sector III, in the lane beside Hyatt Regency, which leads to Bengal Tennis Association. The cafe is spread across a large area, and the most striking feature of the place is its ambience. It’s painted in soothing colours, and the lighting is soft and beautiful. Pick a book or a board game from the stock in the cafe. Shelves of books, guitars on the wall, tables well spaced from each other to provide privacy – Cafe Studio is a place for those who like conversations.

Food at Cafe Studio

Cafe Studio’s menu is designed to include cafe-style food, from soups and sandwiches to baked fish and pastas. Our bloggers’ meet menu included a large number of their wonderful items. What I liked about the menu is that there’s something for people who might want to eat light and nutritious, like salads. So, now you don’t have to miss hanging out with your foodie friends in fear of getting no health food option.

Drinks, Soups, and Salads

From their drinks menu, we had Hot Chocolate with a hint of Hazelnut, and Chia Fresca. I loved the refreshing taste of cucumber and Lime in the Chia Fresca, and it’s a must-have, especially on a warm afternoon. We tried two soups, the Chicken Herb Garlic Soup, and the Cream of Chicken Soup, and then moved on to the Good Old Caesar Salad and the Waldorf Salad. The Cream of Chicken turned out to be an absolute delight. The salads, too, were nice; they were light, and had delicious dressings.

Starters and Main Course

For starter, we had the delicious Sesame Crusted Fish with Sweet Chilli. Crispy and delicious pieces of juicy fish, served with a delicious condiment: it was a lovely starter. We then moved on to the main course dishes. First came the Baked Fish Parmigiana, a protein-rich dish that can be enjoyed by the health-conscious muscle-builders. It was served with the right amount of carbs as well, in the form of delicious pasta. We also had the mouth-watering Blackened Fish with Potato Tartare and Citrus Dressing, another complete dish, whether or not you’re on a diet.

Desserts

Our scrumptious meal came to a close on a sweet note, with some delightful desserts like the Blueberry Cheese Cake, Chocolate Orange Indulgence, and the Brownie with Ice Cream. Besides the Brownie with ice cream is a classic, I really loved the Blueberry Cheese Cake which was served in a cute glass. But, my most favourite was the Chocolate Orange Indulgence, in which the sweet bitterness of the chocolate was a great match with the citrusy orange.

Final Verdict

As a person who loves her peace and quiet, and enjoys a conversation, be it a light-hearted one or a deep one, I think the city needs more places where that can be done. I am sure there are others who, like me, can’t relate the idea of fun to loud music. For such people, Cafe Studio is the ideal place to hang out for hours, undisturbed and undistracted.
