It isn’t wrong to believe that perhaps, many other people in Mumbai perhaps nurse a similar dream. Thirani believes that winning the bid is the first step to fulfilling that dream.

What’s even more incredible is that the tender permits the ship to cruise from Chowpatty to Nariman Point. Thirani is presently working on a restaurant that will be on-board a large vessel that will be docked a couple of miles off Chowpatty into the sea. Passengers will be picked from certain points along Mumbai’s coastline and taken into the ship for an unparalleled dinig experience, combined with a journey that will permit them to see the city from the water.

Shripriya Dalmia Thirani talks about her vision:

Thirani is obviously excited that the Mumbai Port Trust has chosen to open up famous water zones off Girgaum Chowpatty, Gateway of India and Ferry Wharf for setting up floating restaurants. She  thinks that Indians won’t need to go outside any longer for such an incredible view. She plans to reveal the ship with the restaurant before the end of 2017 or by mid 2018.The bid permits Thirani to keep running the same number of restaurants she needs on the ship and host occasions on board.

The tender states clearly that individuals won’t be permitted to remain on-board for the entire night, and it also does not give the consent to run a casino. The ship will docked in Chowpatty – a couple of miles into the ocean. Diner will be taken to sail in little boats, for a genuine experience of sailing in the sea. The vessel will be well-equipped to guarantee the maximum amount of security for the diners and prevent pollution. Thirani is also clear about one more thing – that this restaurant will not only cater to the rich and famous, but also the common people in the city. The ocean is theirs thus will be her ship.

She and her team are considering propose new principles to experiential eating. Their alluring multi-deck vessel will have themed restaurants. With various levels in the ship, every one of the decks and tables can offer 360-degree views of the amazing Mumbai skyline and the Arabian Sea – breathtaking views during the day, as well as the night!

What to expect from the floating restaurants:

The Mumbai Port Trust (MbPT) has been quick to transform the city’s eastern coastline into a recreation zone. MbPT said in its tender report that the floating restaurant might be operational for eight months a year. The general plan incorporates building an international-standard cruise terminal, a floating hotel with 500 rooms which will be anchored off the Raj Bhavan coast, new waterways projects, 3-4 restaurants, marinas and jetties for the promotion of intra-city water transport in Mumbai, a Ferris Wheel like the London Eye, etc., among other things.
