6th Dimension International Art Exhibition

Have you ever stopped to notice all the poetry in and around you? The leaves fluttering in the first spring breeze, the smile reaching the eyes of a boy to his beloved, the dance of fire on the face of a woman on a mission, the blue clouds floating in the green sky above the bizarre land in your mind where you walk only when the ‘real’ world stops working for you – it’s all poetry, in motion. Some people notice it all. And we them crazy. And, some of these crazy people capture the poetry in motion in words, images, sculptures and so much more; they become artists. Fifteen of such artists came together for the celebration of art, as Sixth Dimension, an art extravaganza, came up with the unique International Art Show, “WE DO NOT WANT TO DRAW THE LINE” in Kolkata.

At look at WE DO NOT WANT TO DRAW THE LINE by Sixth Dimension:

Artists from eight different countries came together with 6th Dimension for this art festival. Their methods, modes and language of communication and channelisation of creative ideas into pieces of art might be different, but the one thing common is their insanity which opens their eyes to all the poetry in and around them. Rabindranath Tagore once dreamed of a world that has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls. His vision was simple – a global village where the exchange of thoughts and ideas is free and unhindered. And, in some way, the visionary poet’s dream found fulfillment in its own way with “WE DO NOT WANT TO DRAW THE LINE”. It was here, in the heart of Kolkata, that a platform was formed where the crazy people could witness, recognise and relate to such insane portrayal of poetry in motion, in the form of paintings, photographs, digital images, sculptures – things we stay alive for, things that make life worth living.
